ONLINE Acute 2007 Training
Dynamic supervision of persons who sexually offend requires that risk ratings be anchored in empirically derived factors. The Dynamic Supervision Project (Static-99R, Stable-2007, Acute-2007), is the most widely used assessment process for sexual offense risk in the world. These scales are the product of exhaustive meta-analytic review of the predictors of sexual reoffending, and were road-tested in multiple jurisdictions across Canada and the United States. Recently, the Acute-2007 was significantly revised, including the addition of over 4000 new subjects to the normative sample. This 90-minute seminar will be invaluable for those participants who wish to learn more about the dynamics of sexual offending and how to ensure evidence-based interventions in the furtherance of public safety efforts.
In this seminar, participants will:
- Review the rationale behind comprehensive, empirically informed procedures in sexual offender risk assessment.
- Be trained in scoring the 7 items of the Acute-2007, highlighting the relative contributions of static, stable dynamic, and acute dynamic indicators to risk for reoffending.
- Discuss methods of combining measures of static and dynamic risk potential in order to provide a comprehensive appraisal of risk – using the recently released Acute-2007 Evaluators’ Workbook.
